Educational Cartoons Make Linux Easy
Intarcorp Ltd has released the first issue of its innovative new comic book series targeted at high school and college students, as well as adults looking to switch from a commercial operating system to the GNU/Linux-based Ubuntu available from Canonical Ltd. The name is “Hackett and Bankwell,” and this issue is the first in a series of books that guides users through a curriculum to prepare readers for work in the field or pursuit of certification.
The first issue of “Hackett and Bankwell” focuses on the history of the GNU project, the evolution of the platform, and how to get started comfortably using Ubuntu as a desktop operating system. Made to read naturally rather than like a technical manual, Hackett and Bankwell articulates large amounts of data to readers simply and concisely. Second issue to follow this summer.
